“Before I start actively looking for a new job, I want to give it a few weeks to see if my company actually delivers on the changes they promised”
Many people decide in the first few weeks of the year whether they’re going to explore a new job.
Take the time to regroup with your team throughout January to make sure everyone is still on the same page from whatever conversations took place before year-end.
If you made promises to your team in those discussions, make sure you’re taking steps towards making those changes.
My own personal theory is that at least 50% of attrition can be prevented through a manager’s actions. Let’s put that theory to the test this year!
